I have had the opportunity to learn from and work alongside some very talented composers, who have taught me a great deal about the innovations & subtleties of composing. During my time at University I learnt how to score and properly arrange my compositions on manuscript. I gained the ability to competently and appropriately compose for instruments that I do not have any playing experience in and have since utilised these skills outside of University.

Ghost
Here is a piece I composed for the intro to an amateur short film called "Ghost". Ghost was used by The British Film Institute to give young aspiring actors and film makers the opportunity to take part in a project together. The visual themes that run throughout this clip feel rather ominous and enigmatic, so I made use of a few musical drones such as the contradicting high and low string sections, in order to set the scene for the film's disquiet nature. This piece is in the key of A Harmonic Minor, as I thought a slightly more obscure minor key would set the precedent for an unsettling soundtrack. Nerditecture Theme
This is a piece I was commissioned to do for the YouTube channel "Nerditecture". They wanted me to compose an intro theme in the style of a 16-bit video game. This was a relatively new concept for me, so I took inspiration from Super Nintendo games such as "A Link to the Past" and "Final Fantasy III". This helped me choose the instrumental arrangement and capture the sense of adventure and wonder that these games are known for. However, don't just take my word for it! 'Yorkshire Tough' Wrestling Theme Music
In 2024 I was asked to write the entrance theme for Hull-based wrestling Tag-Team, Reece & Rogan. They wanted something written completely from scratch, with an instrumental that matched their 'old school bruiser' aesthetic, and lyrics that were centered around their signature moves and humble Yorkshire origins. After a few weeks of sending away demo versions and receiving notes, we eventually landed on something we were both very happy with. After that, I mixed and mastered the song and provided them the finished version, to use for promoting their brand.

This theme debuted at Hull City Hall to an audience of over 800 people, as part of a "New Generation Wrestling" event. It is still being used to this day as an entrance theme for the Tag-Team's appearances, up and down the UK.
